FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — More than 300 sixth-grade girls will join local business leaders at the Grand Wayne Center for Take a Girl to Work Day. The Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne is partnering with local school districts, Canterbury School, and local companies.
The young women will have the chance to listen to a morning mentoring session before a luncheon with the business leaders. More than 40 workplaces are participating in Take a Girl to Lunch Day. The middle schoolers get a firsthand look at the companies represented, and the businesswomen can offer leadership development opportunities.
