ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — A couple and two Allen County deputies were recognized Wednesday at the Allen County Sheriff’s annual Law Day ceremony for their heroic actions following a deadly crash on I-69 in Nov. 2024.

Caleb and Kalista White received the Life Saving Award after witnessing the crash and stepping in to help.
The pair called 911, shielded the victims from oncoming traffic, and stayed by their sides until emergency crews arrived. Their quick thinking and compassion helped to comfort and potentially helped save the life of a 4-year-old boy critically injured in the wreck.
