project.WE ’empowers’ FW residents to make their own choices in recovery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A local recovery support center is expanding its services, teaching its clients to take charge in their addiction recovery.

project.ME Founder Aisha Diss has been in recovery for years. As she tackled that journey, she found the best thing for her was to create a unique roadmap, tailored for her life. Now, Diss is showing Fort Wayne residents how to forge their recovery paths.

project.WE is a 16-week self-guided recovery group. Diss says it aims to help all forms of addiction forge a plan for their recovery and how to make recovery sustainable. Abstinence is not required. In fact, there are no requirements. Each meeting will be themed around elements like self-care, trauma and values. Participants are welcome to join group discussions and complete worksheets…
