FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Today is expected to be the warmest day of the year so far, with near 90 degrees temperatures in store today. Due to wildfire smoke lingering around, the chance for us to hit 90 today is low, but upper 80s for the high today will be at least a few degrees warmer than any other day this year so far. Some cloud coverage builds up with smoke later today that will leave a haze which might make it harder to see a lot of sun late in the day.
Showers return along a cold front tomorrow, most rain picks up across the afternoon and evening hours with an isolated shot at thunderstorms.
