FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Pastors of a Fort Wayne church announced their hunger strike Tuesday following reports of food and aid being blocked from Palestinians in Gaza.
Rev. Dr. Timothy Murphy and Rev. Sara Ofner-Seals said they are standing in solidarity with Palestinians, calling for the resumption of food aid into Gaza through neutral agencies, among other demands.
“You can have different feelings about the ethics of the war or the actions of Israel, but what I think all of us can agree that starvation of a civilian population is not acceptable to anyone, and that we can work together on this to ensure that starvation ends in Gaza and famine is prevented,” said Murphy, senior pastor of Plymouth Congregational Church…
