4 northeast Indiana troopers celebrate 25 years with Indiana State Police

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Indiana State Police (ISP) recognized its 59th Academy class Wednesday for celebrating 25 years of service, and four members of that class currently serve at the Fort Wayne Post.

ISP celebrated Master Trooper Eric Egbert, Capt. Deven Hostetler, Master Trooper Tim Myers and 1st Sgt. Brian Walker, who each hail from northeast Indiana and currently serve in the area.

Egbert graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in 1990 and later spent his first three years with ISP at the Lowell Post before transferring back to Fort Wayne. Currently, Egbert works in the Commercial Motor Vehicle division and inspects school buses in Allen, DeKalb and Steuben counties.

Hostetler grew up in LaGrange County and works with ISP’s Investigations Bureau. Since joining the division in 2008, he has received several promotions and currently serves as the Commander of Field Investigations…
