Humane Fort Wayne launches 24/7 microchip scanning station ahead of July 4th

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Just ahead of the Fourth of July, the day more pets go missing than any other, Humane Fort Wayne is launching a first-of-its-kind tool to help reunite lost animals with their owners faster than ever.

Located outside the organization’s Leesburg Road facility, the 24/7 microchip scanning station is free, easy to use, and always available to the public.

With just a quick scan, anyone who finds a lost dog or cat can instantly check for a microchip and access owner information with no shelter visit required…
