Local mother concerned her child would lose care if Anthem and Parkview can’t make a deal

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Parkview and Anthem are yet to make a deal, meaning that after August 16th, people using Anthem insurance would no longer be in Parkview’s network.

Dominic Durnell, a local boy, was diagnosed with Leukemia in January and has been receiving treatment from Parkview and Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, but if the two can’t agree, then he will be out of network.

“Since they wouldn’t be in the network, we would most likely have to travel to Riley Children’s Hospital because they do accept Anthem. So, they would be in network and would not be as costly as if we were still getting treated at Parkview,” said Cristina Ray-Durnell, Dominic’s mother…
