First Alert Forecast: Back to the 90s into the holiday weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – We’re heating up quickly and the humidity is already on the rise! Highs make it back to the low 90s for today into the holiday weekend. Expect a hot and muggy 4th of July!

As the heat and humidity build, we’ll have chances for isolated pop-up storms for the next few days. As we experienced last week, these pop-up storms are typically short-lived. While a few are possible in the late afternoon and evening on the 4th of July, I don’t expect them to ruin your outdoor plans. Just keep an eye to the sky and head inside for the brief time one may be near you.
