FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – During Sunday evening, a cold front will start to approach our area. This will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the area. These thunderstorms are likely to be the type that could produce a heavy downpour and gusty winds, but be relatively short-lived. One or two of those thunderstorms could turn severe, but the chance for that is relatively low.

The hit-and-miss showers will continue into Monday morning, but most of the action is expected to be finished before sunrise. On Monday, afternoon highs will only be in the low 80s, but we’ll climb back into the mid-to-upper 80s for the highs for the rest of the week.
