Plea deal dismisses attempted murder charge from December shooting in Waynedale

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — An 18-year-old man accepted a plea deal in court Tuesday that would erase an attempted murder charge against him should a judge agree to the deal.

The attempted murder charge stems from a December 2024 shooting in Waynedale that started as an argument involving 10 people. The shooting left a teenage girl in life-threatening condition from five gunshot wounds.

The suspect, Sincere A. White, also faced felony charges of aggravated battery and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. As part of the plea deal, White will plead guilty to the aggravated battery charge, a Level 3 felony, and the criminal recklessness charge will also be dismissed.

For the aggravated battery charge, White would be sentenced to 10 years in prison along with three years of active adult probation and two years of unsupervised probation…
