DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — In the early hours of Wednesday morning, officers with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash involving a pickup truck hitting a utility pole.
A 49-year-old woman was driving west in the 2000 block of CR 60 when she crossed over the center line and then went completely off the road. The truck hit a utility pole, causing the power lines to snap off.
When officers and EMS arrived at the scene, it was found that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and had serious injuries to her face. She was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
