First Alert Forecast: Hot and humid midweek, few rain chances

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Heat and humidity are on the rise heading into the middle of the week. We will be near 90 degrees this afternoon as wildfire smoke departs from our skies. Rain showers should return to the area tomorrow in the form of more pop-up showers. It will be our best chance for showers and storms this week as a cold front will cool us down heading into the weekend.

Temperatures and the heat index both will drop off as low as the lower 80s by the end of the week for highs after a cold front crosses Thursday and into Friday. This will help humidity drop as well, and most rain chances will go with it at least for the end of the week…
