FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A “play fight” allegedly led to Saturday’s shooting on Weisser Park Avenue that left a man in life-threatening condition, according to Allen Superior Court documents filed Tuesday.
Around 3 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the reported disturbance and found a man with critical gunshot wounds. The suspect, Jamarcus Williams, now faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery.
Witnesses at the scene of the shooting told police it all started with a “play fight” outside that turned into an actual argument. The victim eventually went inside a house, but when he came back out minutes later, Williams allegedly called him a homophobic slur. The victim allegedly pushed Williams, and family members tried to pull the two away from each other…
