16-year-old from Fort Wayne enters plea agreement to avoid 92-year sentence

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A 16-year-old who faces up to 92 years in prison connected to a shooting and robbery in two separate cases will likely be given a lighter sentence as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Nayshaun Washington had been charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, armed robbery, and a felony enhancement for using firearms – which adds up to 20 years on a prison sentence.

Thursday, however, he pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and robbery in the plea agreement with Allen County prosecutors that calls for him to be sentenced to 14 years in prison…
