First Alert Forecast: Rain on the way… again!

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – As a storm system in Iowa and Illinois gradually moves east this morning, we’ll see some showers (and even a few rumbles of thunder) in parts of 21Country.

Those rain chances will pick up in the late morning and into the afternoon, with the heaviest rain chance looking to be south of US-24. The additional cloud cover coming in, along with a cold front to our north, will keep highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s for the end of the weekend.

First Alert Weather Days (Wednesday & Thursday) : A pattern change is ahead! A heat dome begins to build midweek for the eastern half of the United States. A surge in humidity will have us ranging in “tropical to excessive” humidity categories for Wednesday through Friday. The heat index will be as high as 100-105° during this hot stretch…
