EASTLAKE, Ohio (WANE) – Despite leading 5-2 through four-and-a-half innings, the TinCaps allowed five unanswered runs through the rest of the game in a 7-5 loss to Lake County on Sunday.
With the loss, the TinCaps drop the weekend series by losing 2-of-3 to the Captains.
Lake County took a quick lead thanks to runs scored in the first and second innings. However, Fort Wayne answered back with a two-run single by Kai Roberts in the top of the fourth inning. Leo De Vries, one of the top prospects in all of baseball, followed that up with a two-run bomb in the top of the fifth inning to give the TinCaps their first lead of the day.
