Police shoot, kill man accused of pointing gun at FWPD on State Boulevard

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A man was shot and killed by police north of downtown Fort Wayne after allegedly pointing a gun at officers Monday afternoon.

The investigation brought more than 30 officers and detectives with the Fort Wayne Police Department to the scene near West State Boulevard and Cass Street, which is just east of Wells Street.

West State was temporarily blocked off between Cass Street and Edgehill Avenue. More than 30 cop cars – many of which were unmarked – were at the scene…
