FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Residents and a former property manager of River Pointe Townhomes, an apartment complex on the southeast side of Fort Wayne, are speaking out against owners and current management, claiming unlivable conditions.
It started with a phone call to our newsroom. A resident who chose to remain anonymous said trash had been piling up on the property, and maintenance requests were not being fulfilled.
“At first, it wasn’t too bad. I wasn’t disappointed about the apartment itself. As time went on, I noticed small things, like one day my whole bathroom had just flooded, right, and I couldn’t figure out where the leak was coming from. I put in a maintenance request, and I ended up having to fix the bathroom myself,” said John Robinson, who has lived at the complex since December.
Robinson says he moved in because he felt the prices were fair. Now, he says he feels tricked…
