FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The phrase ‘third time’s the charm’ didn’t apply Tuesday night at the Fort Wayne City Council, where the latest section of the Urban Trail was voted down.
“We’re obviously disappointed in the vote tonight,” said Alec Johnson, Redevelopment Director for the city. “We know that in the future it’s going to be used.”
The section that was held twice in the past was set to run along Superior Street between Clinton and Lafayette streets and was shot down by a 1-4-1 vote.
“It’s hard to imagine sometimes for some people… that in this will be teeming with people that both live downtown and visiting,” Johnson said. “It’s important that this supports the hundred million dollar investment that Barrett is putting into the Lofts at Headwaters.”…
