Markle police chase on foot ends in swift release of one, continued search of the other

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — Saturday afternoon, the Huntington Sheriff’s Office announced they were pursuing two suspects on foot following a crash.

The sheriff’s office posted their announcement on their Facebook page, saying the two suspects were both wearing black shirts and shorts, and one of them was barefoot. They were last seen near the Crossroads gas station after a crash occurred near Clay Street and Clark Street in Markle, Indiana.

Over more posts, it was updated that one of the suspects was quickly apprehended and subsequently released. He began walking southbound on SR 3. The sheriffs say not to report this man, as he is no longer wanted at this time…
