FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A teenager initially accused of attempted murder was sentenced Monday over a vape deal gone wrong in 2023.
Jeremiah Johnson, now 19, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in a double shooting that left a man in life-threatening condition.
In November 2023, Johnson and another teenager – Antron Pearson Jr. – were 17 years old when they were charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, robbery resulting in serious injury, and an enhancement for using a firearm. According to court documents in the case, the shooting took place after the teenagers met up with two people on Swinney Avenue.
