FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A 36-year-old Fort Wayne man was sentenced Friday in connection with his 1-year-old daughter’s death.
A jury found Michael T. Allen guilty of neglect resulting in death and aggravated battery in June. His daughter, Kaivonni Lynn Vachon, died in 2021 from a blow to the stomach that led to internal bleeding and ultimately her death, according to court records.
Allen took the toddler to a fire station at about 1 a.m. on Feb. 25, 2021, saying she had been vomiting for several weeks, court documents show. The girl was in critical condition and had no pulse when medics transported her to the area hospital where she died…
