The Indiana State Board of Animal Health recently confirmed that three horses have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV).
In Allen County, an unvaccinated, 3-year-old Standardbred mare tested positive on Aug. 18 after developing clinical signs on Aug. 15, including severe ataxia, fever, and recumbency. She was euthanized.
