Fort Wayne, Ind. – Fort Wayne is on pace to record its driest August in history, with only 0.41 inches of rain measured through Monday morning. That total falls just below the previous record of 0.42 inches set in 1969, making this month one of the most parched late-summer stretches in more than a century.
According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, rainfall has been scarce across the region, with little chance of relief in the coming days. A predominantly dry pattern is expected to continue into the weekend, which could cement August 2025 in the Top 10 driest months since records began in 1897.
