Man arrested for Saturday stabbing could face nearly 60 years in prison

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A man was arrested and faces multiple preliminary charges that could amount to almost 60 years in prison for a stabbing that took place on Saturday.

Police responded to a stabbing at a home on the 3900 block of Clinton Street on Saturday at around 11 a.m.

According to court documents, Jeffrey Janda, 66, entered the unlocked home without permission and pointed a gun at three men inside the house with four child witnesses.

Janda proceeded to stab two of the men with a knife. One man sustained an injury to his right index finger, the other had a cut on his right middle finger, and a stab wound on his left buttock that required stitches…
