PAULDING COUNTY, Ohio — A Defiance police lieutenant has been charged with operating a vehicle under the influence after he crashed his motorcycle in rural Paulding County last week.
On Aug. 26, Benjamin Williams, 44, was riding his motorcycle on state Route 111 in Auglaize Township in the northeastern corner of the county when he went off the road around 9 p.m. Williams hit the dirt shoulder and his motorcycle flipped on its side, according to a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
