FORT WAYNE, Ind. — A 24-year-old Fort Wayne woman has accepted a plea deal in a tragic crash that killed her sister and a young child last November along I-69 in Allen County.
Charges and Plea Agreement
Jourdan Hudson was initially facing multiple charges, including:
- Neglect of a dependent resulting in death
- Neglect of a dependent resulting in serious injury
- Two counts of reckless homicide
- A lesser neglect charge
Combined, those charges carried a potential sentence of more than 70 years in prison.
Instead, under her plea agreement, Hudson will plead guilty to three counts of neglect of a dependent and operating a vehicle causing death. She faces a 31-year prison term, followed by 30 years of probation.
Court records show her probation conditions include a ban on driving or using alcohol and drugs, along with a no-contact order preventing her from speaking to the deceased child’s mother.
