Coroner IDs man killed in Friday’s police-involved shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The Allen County Coroner’s Office has announced the identity and cause of death for the man who died in the police-involved shooting on Friday.

The coroner identified the man as 81-year-old William Joseph Peters, who died from multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death was declared as Homicide-Police Action Shooting.
