FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Drought conditions were updated today and most of the area is now under “Moderate” drought conditions. For the first time since Christmas Eve last year, Allen County is considered in a “Severe” drought. There is some rain in the forecast, but we have to finish the very dry and warm work week first.
Showers return to the forecast on Sunday, with a few scattered showers possible over the weekend, mainly Sunday evening. Our best chance for rain will come next Monday and Tuesday, but even now rain totals do not look impressive enough to really help out with the drought, especially considering over the next 8-14 days we are expected to trend below average yet again in terms of rain totals…
