Pedestrian dies after being struck by car in downtown Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A man in a wheelchair has died after being struck by a car while crossing the street in downtown Fort Wayne.

Sunday evening, officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a crash at the intersection of Clinton Street and East Baker Street involving a man in a wheelchair.

When officers arrived at the scene, they immediately began life-saving measures on the man, who was in critical condition. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead…
