LA PORTE, Ind. (WISH) — A Michigan man wanted in Noble County is behind bars after leading police on a chase through La Porte County that ended with him being bitten by a K-9.
A La Porte County sheriff’s deputy was standing on a sidewalk near the intersection of Lincolnway and Monroe Street when he saw Jacob Cooper, 34, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, driving around 50 mph in a 25 mph zone. Cooper’s vehicle also sounded like it had a flat tire, the sheriff’s office added.
The deputy tried to pull Cooper over near 1st and J streets, but he didn’t stop. A pursuit followed, going through several city streets on La Porte’s west side…
