Fort4Fitness Fall Festival takes over Fort Wayne, fun for all

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Celebrate fall with a race for all. The Fort4Fitness Fall Festival will return on Saturday, September 27.

The Fall Festival is described on its website as a race for people of all levels and abilities. Whether you are an experienced marathoner or just hitting your fitness goals, all are invited to find a race for themselves. Family, friends, and community members are welcome to cheer on the racers along the course. Enjoy races through downtown Fort Wayne in a 4-mile, 10k, or half-marathon.

Packet Pickup

Participants can pick up their packets on Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 27. It is encouraged that packets be picked up on Friday. Racer packets include giveaways, coupons, race info, race shirt, and runner’s bibs. Packet pickup and on-site registration will happen on Friday and Saturday at Parkview Field. On Friday, packets can be picked up from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. On-site registration will be available.

The Fox Trot Mile

The Fox Trot Mile will take place on Friday, September 26. The mile, sometimes referred to as the Final Mile, is open to everyone. Participants can walk or run this one-mile course that starts outside Parkview Field and ends at home plate.

Half Marathon

The half-marathon will kick off the races on Saturday, September 27. All races start on Brackenridge Road, outside the ballpark entrance, and end at Parkview Field. With eight water stations along the way, the longest race of the day will take participants through Fort Wayne neighborhoods and past landmark churches. Nonrunners can cheer on participants from the sidelines while enjoying live entertainment. This race will begin at 8 a.m.

10K

The 10K will be a 6.2-mile course for walkers and runners. Participants will also begin at Brackenridge Road and finish at Parkview Field. There are three water stations along the route through historic Fort Wayne. This race will begin at 8:30 a.m.

4 Mile

Walkers and runners are welcome to join the 4-mile that takes participants through downtown Fort Wayne. Also starting at Brackenridge Road and ending at Parkview Field, participants can make pit stops at two water stations along the way. This race will begin at 8:30 a.m.
