Blackhawk Christian boys soccer rolls past Andrean for regional title

(WANE) – Blackhawk Christian boys soccer is the last team standing in northeast Indiana following Saturday’s slate of regional championship games across the Hoosier state.

The Braves, ranked second in the 1A coaches poll, shut out Andrean in a 5-0 win at Westview. Blackhawk Christian will face top-ranked Covenant Christian next Saturday for a semi-state title.

Elsewhere around northeast Indiana, Homestead boys and girls soccer saw their season end in heartbreaking fashion at Kokomo. The Spartans’ girls team surrendered a goal in the final seconds to 3A No. 1 Hamilton Southeastern in a 2-1 loss. Meanwhile, the boys team fell short to 3A No. 5 Harrison in a penalty kick shootout…
