Indiana Man Accused of Beating Woman With Gun and Shooting Her in Forehead Over Unpaid Debt, Police Say

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA — A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly pistol-whipping and shooting a woman in the forehead during a violent argument over money, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

Antres Holliness-Ransom, 28, was taken into custody Thursday in connection with the death of Jasmine Haywood, whose body was found just before midnight on October 17 inside an apartment on the 2900 block of Schele Avenue in Fort Wayne.

Investigators said Haywood had suffered a gunshot wound to the forehead and severe facial trauma when police arrived.
