FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Police Department wants to ensure a safe Halloween for everyone.
Sergeant Jonathan Cutler, Public Information Officer for the Fort Wayne Police Department, said that Halloween safety is all about three things: being seen, being smart, and being safe.

Sgt. Cutler recommends kids wear reflective costumes, carry flashlights, or glowsticks. He said older kids going without a guardian should travel in groups.
“Whether it’s trunk or treat or trick or treat, don’t go in the house, don’t go in the car,” Sgt. Cutler said. “Stay on the porch to get the treat. If it’s somebody you know, that’s fine, but if it’s somebody, you don’t know the person, don’t go into their home.”…
