Saint Francis outlasts Olivet to keep NAIA playoff hopes alive

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Back at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium for the first time in over a month, Saint Francis shook off a slow start to top Olivet Nazarene in 30-22 win on Saturday.

With the win, the Cougars keep their NAIA playoff hopes alive with two weeks left in the regular season.

Trailing 7-0 at the end of the first quarter, Saint Francis outscored Nazarene, 17-3 in the second quarter to take a 17-10 lead to halftime. Josh Kulka connected with Chris Mullen on a 17-yard touchdown to tie the game at 7-7. After Olivet regained the lead on a field goal, Norwell High School grad Austin De Leon knotted the ballgame up with a 32-yard field goal to make it 10-10.
