30,000 meals donated to Community Harvest Food Bank

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Glick Philanthropies surprised Community Harvest Food Bank with a donation of $7,500 Friday, providing 30,000 meals to those in need.

Community Harvest Food Bank is witnessing a record year for hunger in the community. In response to growing need and a pause on SNAP benefits, Glick Philanthropies wanted to offer its help.

The organization released a statement that said, “As our community prepares for the upcoming expiration of SNAP benefits, we recognize that countless families will soon face increased challenges of putting food on the table.
