1 dead, 2 others in critical condition after a crash in northeast Allen County

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — One person is dead and two others are in critical condition after a three-car crash in Leo-Cedarville, in northeast Allen County. Officers initially had the road closed for three hours, but it is now back open.

Officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a rear-end collision on State Road 1, north of Union Chapel Road, around 3:46 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Once officers and medics arrived on scene, they located three northbound vehicles, a silver Hyundai SUV, a silver Chevrolet SUV, and a black Kia SUV. According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the black SUV and silver Chevrolet SUV were stopped in traffic on State Road 1.
