FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A pair of Fort Wayne natives heard their named called in the 2025 Major League Volleyball draft on Monday afternoon, with Blackhawk Christian graduate Cara Cresse picked in the first round by the Indy Ignite and Bishop Dwenger grad Eva Hudson selected in the third round by the Atlanta Vibe.
Cresse, a 6-foot-6 middle blocker, is currently playing her senior senior at the University of Louisville. The Cardinals are 24-4 overall and ranked seventh in the country entering the final week of the regular season. Cresse has tallied 149 blocks on the season, second-most in the ACC.
Hudson, who is playing her senior season at the University of Kentucky after transferring from Purdue, is an outside hitter for a Wildcats team that is 23-2 overall and ranked no. 2 nationally.
