COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WANE) — Peabody Public Library is looking to get the community involved as the organization plans to celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2026.
Starting Dec. 1, people will be able to submit artistic designs into a contest where the winners will have the art displayed on official library cards.
Since its inception, Peabody Public Library has been supported by the very community it aims to serve. The organization started out as the People’s Free Library of Whitley County in 1901, with the original location being housed within the second floor of the Raupfer Building, located on the corner of Van Buren and Line streets.
