FORT WAYNE — Fort Wayne is accelerating efforts to reshape its economy and identity as redevelopment, corporate investment and population gains continue to elevate Indiana’s second largest city and the broader northeast Indiana region.
More than $1 billion in public and private spending over the past decade has overhauled the city’s downtown and riverfront, turning the St. Mary’s River corridor into a regional attraction. The next phase advanced last week when the city chose Price Brothers Development of Kansas City as master developer for the long planned North River District.
