FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Coming off Saturday’s emotional loss at Toledo, the Komets responded with a 4-1 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones on Sunday.
While Fort Wayne lost Sam Grubbe to injury Saturday, the Komets returned Odeen Tufto and Dustyn McFaul to their lineup. Tufto, who was injured in last season’s playoff series against Iowa, assisted on two goals in his first game back with the Komets.
Following a scoreless first period, Cincinnati struck first with a goal from Luke Grainger at 4:49. However, the Komets responded with a power play goal from Austin Magera at 10:11.
