INDIANA — A woman in her 20s died early Monday after a single-vehicle crash east of Fort Wayne, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded around 6 a.m. to the area of Irving and Thimlar roads, where they found a heavily damaged car. Investigators determined no other vehicles were involved and the woman was the only occupant.
A preliminary investigation indicates the car veered off Irving Road for an unknown reason, struck a driveway embankment, went airborne and then crashed into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene…
