FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Firefighters rescued one person and several pets from a house fire Friday morning northeast of downtown Fort Wayne.
Investigators are still working to learn the cause of the fire.
Shortly before 8 a.m., emergency crews responded to Spy Run near 4th Street, dispatch confirmed. At a two-story house in the 1500 block of Spy Run, a WANE 15 crew at the scene saw three fire trucks, including a ladder truck and two engines.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department said in a press release that when crews arrived to the house, smoke was visible and they completed a “quick and aggressive” search of the property.
