COURT DOCS: Roanoke man’s April arrest led to DNA connecting him to 2008 rape

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A 55-year-old Roanoke man’s arrest in April led to his DNA connecting him to a 2008 rape at a Fort Wayne motel, newly filed court records say.

Brad A. Battershell, 55, was formally charged Monday with three counts of criminal deviate conduct, one count of rape, one count of sexual battery, and one count of criminal confinement.
