European tech company to open first-ever U.S. facility in $18M investment in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Tretau, a European technology company specializing in magnet wire production, is now expanding to the U.S., bringing dozens of jobs to Fort Wayne for its new facility.

Greater Fort Wayne (GFW) Inc. says the company, operating as Tau Wire Corp in the U.S., has committed to investing $18 million in the Fort Wayne facility and will create more than 70 new jobs in the area over the next four years.

They say the Fort Wayne plant will be modeled after Tretau’s Italy site, using the company’s eco-friendly coating technology and smart manufacturing systems for magnet wire production…
