FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A man will spend 83 years in prison after being found guilty of shooting and killing a 19-year-old in 2021.
22-year-old Jalan Carpenter was sentenced on Wednesday after being found guilty of murder back in November. Along with his guilty verdict, he was given a firearm sentence enhancement, which would add 20 years to his sentence.
Carpenter was sentenced to 63 years for murder and ended up receiving the full 20-year enhancement.
