A shooting incident has left one person in life-threatening condition, and Fort Wayne Police Department have made an arrest in connection to the case. At approximately 9:35 a.m. yesterday, December 15, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Laverne Avenue and Lake Avenue following reports of gunfire. The victim was subsequently found near 800 N. Coliseum Blvd with a gunshot wound and was quickly transported for emergency treatment at an area trauma center.
Officials, led by the Fort Wayne Homicide Unit, launched an investigation that pointed to 75-year-old Richard Krueckeberg as the suspect. Krueckeberg, was apprehended without resistance and now faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery.
