Man found guilty of felony murder, robbery in 2022 homicide

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A man accused of playing a role in a 2022 homicide was found guilty Thursday.

According to the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, a jury found 45-year-old Michael Barker guilty of felony murder and robbery resulting in serious injury.

Barker is one of two men connected to the killing of 63-year-old William J. Kintzel, a South Whitley man whose body was found four days after his April 2022 death in Fort Wayne. According to Allen Superior Court documents, he had been battered with a gun and then shot several times in the chest.
